Beijing's eastern Chaoyang district recently received approval to set up a national-level industry park focused on human resource services, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security.

The district is expected to invest over 20 million yuan annually to provide support for companies involving in human resources, including subsidies, policy incentives, brand promotions, and service improvement.

The decision is part of Beijing's efforts to become a pilot free trade zone and a national integrated demonstration zone for expanding opening-up of the service sector.

Chaoyang district is home to more than 1,500 companies and institutions that offer human resource services, which account for nearly half of the city's total with their revenue reaching 72.77 billion yuan in 2020.

According to the plan to build the industry park, it will be based in the capital's central business district (CBD) and is expected to be put into use this September.
