China has been promoting "mutual learning" in dialogues among civilizations and cultures since 2014. Civilizations exchange ideas because of their diversity, they learn from each other through exchanges and they develop through mutual learning, as Chinese leaders have mentioned it in different international forums and summits. It is the cultural foundation for building a community with a shared future for humanity, a bridge to enhance the friendships among peoples of all countries, a driving force for the progress of human society, and a bond to maintain world peace. This phrase has resonated with the people all around the world and become a popular word, which is spread in the Chinese and foreign media.
